Hi Point coffee and Café Newsletter
May 17, 2012

Hello, my wonderful folks! We've had a wonderful couple of weeks at Hi Point. I've been able to witness such wonderful acts of giving and kindness. Mainly, we've raised 480 dollars for our dodgeball teams to play for Lila this Saturday, not to mention 12 folks who have donated their Saturday to do dodgeball battle! If you feel like being a spectator and participating in the raffle and silent auction, the event is at McQueen 9am - 3pm. Check out this link for more details!

Some of our customers are business owners who's companies also graciously donated!
L'Essence Day Spa
Ultimate Vitality  - Online Supplement Store
Choice Clean Air - Air Conditioning Service

Thank you to everyone who's come together to make this happen! I'm so excited that we were able to put together two teams for this great cause! Now, who's gonna win? Wouldn't it be epic if the two Hi Point teams, made up of employees, customers and friends, went head to head for the title? It's almost like a movie! Well, almost...:)

Anyway, it's not just dodgeball that has brought out the best in our community these past few weeks. I don't want to put a spotlight on anyone, so I'll just say that there have been moments in the past couple weeks where human suffering has been evident at Hi Point. And the way our community responds is so generous and kind in spirit. I believe Hi Point is a special community of people and in so many ways, you guys demonstrate great humor, compassion, intellect and care for your fellow human beings, including how you care for us. So, I'll just say thank you to all of you. Maybe you know who you are and maybe you don't. We are rich in kindness in our little Hi Point world and so maybe you don't know how your compassion changed someone's day. Maybe your natural kindness is unnoticed by you, but it is not unnoticed by others and I have seen so much that I wish to say thanks. So, thanks and stay sweet, guys! :)

As is my habit these days, I'm not going to say more except that changes are afoot. I'll have to wait a few more days to tip my hat, reveal my hand or what not. In the meantime of my scheming, I've been having a blast serving you and yours. Hope to see you again soon!

*If you don't know what this means, it means you didn't read the last newsletter and I'm not gonna help you out. It is nice, though! :)

Kristin Manning from Happy Heart Qigong in Reno is starting a donation only group class for everyone, including children to the elderly or impaired. And, you don't have to know what you're doing, so don't worry about being clueless. I'm clueless, except that I've heard good things about Qigong and its use in improving health, overall energy, and self transformation. Uber cool.
