Hola, peeps!
Another quick note to say hi and give you the low down for Sunday Brunch this Sunday. Strawberry season is upon us! Yes! So, it may be a little early, but I really like jumping on this bandwagon as soon as possible. Can't have too many strawberries,
Also in the news...
We've got some really fun plans for Mother's Day and Father's Day brunches coming up. It's still in the works, so I can't announce anything officially. But, it's too much fun to not share! We're planning live music for both days, plus I'm thinking maybe a little chair massage for Mom and who knows what else we'll come up with as the day rolls around. Moms deserve every bit of pampering that can be put into one day. I know you agree! :) For the menus, we're starting with themes. Mother's Day is gonna be all about chocolate and wine and Father's Day will be beer and bacon. Good times! There will be some healthy choices, but really, it's going to be about maximal flavor and decadence to shower upon our loving parents. So fun! Stay tuned as the details unfold. :)
We also have some great plans for how to use our piano. The first idea is to host evenings of food, wine and music. The night will be based on the music of a certain composer or country and the menu and wines will be chosen to suit the music. Cool, huh? For example, our first event will likely feature a local soprano performing a Mozart repertoire. So, the menu would then be Austrian! Fun! This will take some planning, but I have wonderful friends in the community to pull this off with really spectacular results. We'll be selling tickets to these events.
Also, in the news here...we have a wonderful customer who gave us the gift of our little sign on McCarran that says, "Good Coffee and Big Smiles". You know the one. Anyway, it got tagged a few days ago and then this same wonderful man got out there and fixed it for us. What an angel. Thank you!! :)
It's funny how many things keep popping up in my head to tell you. I should mention that we have a new cook in the kitchen, Mike. We've had some long conversations about food and he's as passionate about breakfast as I am, which says a lot. Totally cool. So, you'll see our brunch for this Sunday is the New Mike's Special and when you see someone new in the kitchen, slaving away, that's Mike. :)
