News from Hi Point Coffee and Cafe 3/18/12

Hi, guys! I must admit to having some hopefully temporary ADD symptoms this afternoon. Just can't seem to focus on anything while trying to write my newsletter. Or perhaps, the truth is closer to that I'm profoundly able to focus on anything but this blank page. I won 3 games of free cell solitaire in a row. Checked my email 6 times in ten minutes. I've thoroughly assessed the quality of the paint job on our walls. Not bad, if I may say so! :) It's times like this that I'm so grateful that I don't live in a reality tv show so that no one is watching this ridiculous moment! Thankfully we have the dynamic duo of massive solar storms and a full moon to blame for anything and everything that is not perfect. And so I'm running with it and I have blamed everything that is not so stellar today on the solar storm. It's perfect! Now, what to blame it on tomorrow when the magnetic field is back in place, I do not know, but I will find something! I will focus long enough to do that. :)

One tidbit of news to share. The artist working on our tree of life on the East wall is starting to sketch this weekend, so you can see this starting to come together! It'll be very fun to watch as it develops.

As for activities this weekend, we have the Astronomy Lounge on Saturday as well as the next Swingin in Reno dance! Come eat, drink and learn to swing! :)

Next Wednesday we have our second class in the Whole Self Care class. If you missed the first, but are still curious, I would greatly suggest that you come! I really enjoyed the first class a great deal. Peig has such wisdom to share about how to approach living with the intention of personal spiritual evolution and fulfillment. It's feels like a rare and wonderful treat to be learning with Peig and the other wonderful folks who came, as well. There's more about the class below....

As always, I wish you well and hope to see you soon! And remember, blame the sun and the moon for everything today. It's literally a perfect storm and who knows, maybe people will believe it! :)

All the best!

Sunday Breakfast Special
Served Sunday 9am - 2pm

Tis the season for waffles! I'm not sure why, but it feels like waffles with brown sugar glazed bananas with rum caramel sauce and cinnamon is just the right thing. Well, just the right thing if you add bacon, of course!

No More Yoga at Hi Point!
Well, I'm sad to report no more yoger-cizing at Hi Point, though I think this change will be best for Jelena and the yogis. Jelena's moving her classes during the week to the River School. You can contact her via email to get the latest scoop on days and times. It's been a blast to do yoga at Hi Point. Such good times and now we'll all caravan it down to River School and have good times down there! :)
