Hola! Well, what's new at Hi Point? You'll see a new face popping up. Katie has joined our team to replace Kelly, who moved back to Colorado a couple weeks ago. She's doing great so far and we're pleased to welcome her on. Also, I've been busy cleaning out my house (spring cleaning mania!), so I've brought in a bunch of new books from my collection to peruse. I also have some crafting supplies that I've brought in to give to whomever. Some sewing stuff, scrapbooking supplies, stamps, etc. I've come to accept that I am not a crafty individual, which is actually a relief. :) So, come see what you'd like to take home! In actual news, got some new events coming up, so check that out, especially the St. Patty's Day and Sunday Brunch specials! Alright, my lovely folks, I'll sign off for today. I wish you well and I hope to see you soon! Sarah
St. Patty's Day Special! Served Saturday 10am - 4pm Our special twist of corned beef, creamy cabbage and potato champ, Irish soda bread and a dessert of our homemade chocolate ice cream and stout beer floats!

Upcoming Events! Four Wednesdays, starting March 7th, 7:15pm - 8:15pm Some of you met Peig Myota at the Mind, Body, Spirit Fair a couple weeks ago. Now, she's going to be teaching a four week course on "Whole Self Care, Living from a Model of Wholeness to Balance Physical, Emotional, Intellectual and Spiritual Health" I've got the flyer attached here so you can read more about it. Email me to register for these classes! The classes start at $35/class or $100 for the series. Upcoming Easter Events Sunday March 25th, Easter Cookie Decorating! 1-4pm We had so much fun with the Christmas cookie decorating, so why not Easter, too? Come join us for decorating sugar cookies for Easter. We supply the cookies, the frostings and sprinkles to make your cookies totally Easter-ific! Please call ahead and reserve your dozen. $6 per dozen. 775-787-2477 Saturday April 7th, 1-4pm Easter Egg dying! We'll be doing egg dying with natural dyes and fun patterns to make Easter at your house extra special. Please call ahead to reserve your eggs. $6 per 1/2 dozen. 775-787-2477 NEW Book Club! I'm curious if anyone would like to join me in reading and discussing "The Source Field Investigations; The hidden science and lost civilizations behind the 2012 prophecies". I've already read it once, but dang it if it's just so full of interesting stuff that I couldn't quite get my head around it the first time. So, I'm rereading it and it would be very fun for me if some of you physics/weird science geeks (you know who you are!) would like to read and discuss with me. It's too much to read and talk about one time, so I'm thinking about splitting this into quarters. Let me know if you're interested and we'll pick a time! Probably April 14th for the first meeting? let me know if you'd like to do this. Otherwise, I'll happily reread on my own, but you know me. I'm a talker. ;) sarah@hipointcoffee.com
An idea... I've been busy cleaning out the house of unused stuff and I was thinking about perhaps doing a community rummage sale for all of us with extra stuff. Maybe we could just bring it all to Hi Point and do a massive sale? We could do it for the benefit of a charity or do it and keep track of people's monies. Either way, garage sales on one's own is daunting, but if we pool it, not so bad, right? Let me know if you think this would be good for you and you'd like to participate! sarah@hipointcoffee.com
No More Yoga at Hi Point! Well, I'm sad to report no more yoger-cizing at Hi Point, though I think this change will be best for Jelena and the yogis. Jelena's moving her classes during the week to the River School. You can contact her via email to get the latest scoop on days and times. It's been a blast to do yoga at Hi Point. Such good times and now we'll all caravan it down to River School and have good times down there! :) jelenahardy@gmail.com |
