News from Hi Point Coffee and Cafe 11/25/11

Hi! What busy times the holidays bring. It's amazing that we not only survive them, but relish them every year. Miracle! :) I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday and I look forward to hearing the stories! We had a great holiday with friends and family. I did not cook, which is a new and relaxing experience! But, relaxation is short lived in the coming weeks. Fasten your seat belts, ladies and gents, 'cause you already have a lot going on and now you'll have more. We have some super fun events coming up, which I hope you'll look through and pick the few that work for you! Plus, we have jazz this Saturday night, as well. It's free and great music in your neighborhood! What's better than that? :)
Well, there's plenty of stuff to ponder in this newsletter so I'll let you get to it. Hope you're well and I look forward to seeing you again!!
Cheers!
Sarah

Hi Point Book Update

The book has run into a small delay due to a printer gone awry. However, this could be a wonderful blessing in disguise! Ian's has some great ideas for new shots to go in the book. Plus, we'll be looking at adding your thoughts and comments about Hi Point in the book. So, if you'd like to contribute your thoughts and ideas, you can write them down in the community book and when the time comes, we'll be going through that book to add essays, paragraphs, vignettes, etc. to the photography book. It'll be a real community effort. What a wonderful idea, Ian!!

Sunday Breakfast Special
Served Sunday 9am - 1pm

Well, folks, as I'm writing this, I am still completely full from Thanksgiving dinner. It's almost ten am on Friday! Yikes! So, I'm thinking some a tad on the lighter side.

Sharp cheddar omelet topped with fresh piperade (piles of slow sauteed peppers, tomato and onion), served with a side of roasted red potatoes and thick cut bacon.

We'll also have pumpkin waffles again, as an option. The pumpkin waffles are simply amazing and we need to keep riding the pumpkin train as long as the season will allow. Choo Choo!

For those of you rolling your eyes at me, this is light in comparison to Thanksgiving! :)

Hi Point will provide a yummy holiday spread. I have yet to decide what we're serving, so I'm not sure how much to charge yet. And of course, spiced mulled wine, our regular selections of beer and wine and treats for the kiddos. :)

Anyway, this will be great! We'll all sing together, plus RBE will perform a few holiday favorites. And you don't have to be a grand singer to attend. People keep telling me that I don't want them to come, 'cause they sing so poorly. That's not true!! The point is to experience the joy of singing together! How fun is that? Plus, you'll have a great choir to fill the room with great sound and you'll find your place in the song so easy and simply. You've never had so much fun singing in your life, I tell you this for certain. And for all you who say they can't sing...1. I don't believe you and 2. how you think you sound is irrelevant 'cause if you love Christmas music, you'll love this event and that is the point, right?

Jelena's style of yoga is a dynamic flowing practice that allows the internal movement of the breath to carry the external movement of the body. As the life force (prana) is intensified and stilled, the physical practice becomes a dynamic form of meditation. Challenging the body and mind to find a balance between effort and receptivity imbues the physical practice with lightness and grace and maximizes one's power of conscious manifestation. This process of self-realization and unity with the divine is the essence of yoga.
