| Hi, guys! I'm doing a mini newsletter this week because it's crunch time on getting the forward written for Ian's photography book about Hi Point. The publishing date has been moved up dramatically to get the book out right before Christmas. Ack! I've gotta put all my writer-ly intentions in that direction today, but I'll make it up next week! Tchuss! Sarah |
| A book about Hi Point?? In case you missed the news last week, Ian Kahler, our resident and totally fabulous photographer, has been working on his idea to publish a book on the American Cafe experience. To my total delight and surprise, Ian has decided to focus his book entirely on Hi Point! He's also asked me to write the forward about who we are and what's so unique about Hi Point. I'm so honored, it brings tears to my eyes every time I think of it. Is that not amazing? I'm sure Ian's rolling his eyes like a mad man as he reads this. However, it does astound me and I love it! |

Yoga Class at Hi Point! Monday, November 14th 5:30pm - 6:45pm Wednesday, November 16th 5:30pm - 6:45pm Yoga Monday and Wednesday nights. Bring your mat! Class is a $7 donation to Jelena. jelenahardy@gmail.com or 530.321.2886 Jelena's style of yoga is a dynamic flowing practice that allows the internal movement of the breath to carry the external movement of the body. As the life force (prana) is intensified and stilled, the physical practice becomes a dynamic form of meditation. Challenging the body and mind to find a balance between effort and receptivity imbues the physical practice with lightness and grace and maximizes one's power of conscious manifestation. This process of self-realization and unity with the divine is the essence of yoga. |
