Well, I suppose the biggest new of Hi Point in the past few weeks are the new faces you see serving you. :) I've hired three new employees and got them trained up and ready to go. It's lovely. Katrina, Kelly and Shelby...in addition to the other new faces of this Spring, Serena, Chris, Jelani...am I missing someone? My whole staff, almost! It's been fun getting to know new folks and learning them in the ways of Hi Point. It feels so luxurious, too, to have plenty of staffing so I had three days of getting "my job" done, like inventory, accounting, emails, etc. It's not glamorous, but it's pretty cool to be able to get it done. Yeah! So, I hope you enjoy the new folks, too, and don't be shy in teaching them in the ways of your favorite coffee or treat. They're quick studies and are so wonderfully eager to learn. Love it! :)
What else, you ask? Well, the new open mic schedule is getting up and running, with our second of the events tomorrow night! Also, we're playing French again for Sunday Brunch, in honor of Bastille Day and the Tour de France, of course. One of my favorite cyclists is in yellow! It won't last, but it's fun for now. :)
Well, tis all for now. Hope you're having a lovey, lovey week and I hope to see you tres soon!
All the best,
Sarah |

Sunday Brunch
Oui, oui! It's Bastille Day tomorrow and Nate and I are watching the Tour de France and so even though we went French last week, we're going there again. :) Yeah! How can we get tired of pretending to be in France while glorying in Reno's all-time-best summer weather? :)
Bastille Day in Reno Menu...
Aged Provolone cheese tart served with a side of warm lentil and bacon salad, topped with two poached eggs and a side of focaccia toast and homemade strawberry freezer jam. Breakfast is served with "petit pains au chcolat" which means little chocolate-filled pastries and a glass of lavendar lemonade. $14
Now, if only I could figure out how to spell out the French nasally laugh. It would work so perfectly right here, so imagine that now. :) |

New Book for July!
New book for this month is the "The Cellist of Sarajevo" by Steven Galloway. This book is about community and humanity in the face of war in Sarajevo. It's reviewed as thought-provoking, haunting, challenging and engrossing. A short novel with a powerful and poignant story to tell. Definitely a worthy choice! The next meeting is set for 7/24 2pm.
