News from Hi Point Coffee and Cafe 4/8/10

Big News! The organic espresso is in and it's de-lish! Next is moving the French Roast over to an organic bean. I'll keep you posted.  Thank you to everyone who gave me their feedback on the organic coffee!

The other big thing is Sunday Brunch. We had a great time with Easter Brunch, so, we'll be introducing a weekly Sunday brunch special starting this week. Still considering the menu at this point, but I'm thinking sticky buns and Huevos Rancheros with chorizo.

We're also looking at getting a beer and wine license. This will require some interaction, please! It's expensive to get a liquor license, so let me know if you think this is a good idea. I've talked to Tom at Fine Vines wine and cheese shop about helping is pair wines for our menu with some of the great, yet affordable bottles they sell. Let me know your thoughts on this one, please!

Thanks!

Acoustic Grind

This week at the Acoustic Grind is Eric Anderson. You can hear some of his music at http://www.myspace.com/ericandersenmusicEric's got a wonderful sound and is perfect for afternoon relaxation! Come and enjoy!
Book Club Time!

The book club is meeting this Sunday at 3pm. We're discussing "The Geography of Bliss" and it's really a fun and insightful read. I'm almost done with it, which is a first for me so now I really can't wait for Sunday's discussion with our erudite group. Thought I'd throw in a fancy word, since we're discussin' books, and all. ;)
Open Mic
Following the Acoustic Grind, Hi Point is hosting an open mic event. Sign ups are during the Acoustic Grind and the lineup is chosen by lottery. This is an all ages show and we invite musicians, poets or whatever kind of art that can be shared with a mic. Come share your talents with our community!

Fresh Rice Pudding with honey and cinnamon
