Hey, ho! New Menu started this month!!

Hey, dudes! (Dudes can mean ladies, too, ya know!) We have a busy weekend with a couple private events to prepare for, which is super awesome. But it also means time is cut short. I do have news to report, though...

The new menu is out and it's really tasty!!  You can click here to check it out. :)

Also, Pumpkin Pie Lattes are starting October 1st. We thought we'd wait to have them back for when maybe we'd be done with the 90 degree heat so we can pretend that Fall is upon us. I know the mornings are brisk, but I'm still running around in sandals and I think that means its summer still. That's the technical definition, actually...if sandals are still reasonably worn, without the need of socks, then summer is still in session. Some folks define it by the sun and our orbit and that equinox thing that's happening this weekend, but what good is that when you're still crankin' the AC?? Jeez!?

Well, that's all for today. I'm off to chop veggies for 150 people. :) Hope to see you soon!!

Sunday Brunch!
Sunday, September 23rd, 9am - 2pm
Brunch starts with blueberry turnovers with goat cream cheese filling. The main course is caramelized onion and bacon omelets, with greens and braised potatoes and followed by a dessert of fresh cantaloupe sorbet and shortbread cookies.
New Word of the Day Game!
Not to be awkward or anything, but I'm the lone submitter this week again! Where are the brave authors of our first week?? Submit your words, get free coffee and share with the rest of us the joy of seeing your creativity!!

So, here's my submission for the last seven words we put up...
aliment, benison, piceous, rollick, jocose, hieratic, sedulous

Aliment: food, nutrition
Benison: blessing, benediction
Piceous: glossy brownish, black in color
Rollick: to move or behave in a carefree manner
Jocose: given to joking
Hieratic: highly stylized or formal
Sedulous: diligent in application or pursuit

"The groomsmen rollicked and jostled the groom, who struggled to contain his normally jocose manner. Amidst the play, the groom felt the significance of the coming ceremony, which he knew would be a nurturing benison for him and his bride; the aliment from which to start their marriage and life together. The groom's preparation room was fashioned with hieratic grace, framing his face in a gilded mirror as he sedulously tamed his piceous hair and prepared for these first steps into their new lives."

Your next seven words...
Paripatetic: adj. of or relating to Aristotle or relating to walking or being itinerant
Undulate: verb, to form or move in waves
Disapprobation: noun, the act or state of disapproving
Quail: verb, to give way, to recoil in fear
Mercurial: adj, characterized by rapid and unpredictable changes in mood
Futhark: alphabet used by German peoples from 3rd to 13th centuries, also called runic
Volatile: adj, prone to sudden change, explosive, prone to evaporation

It's your turn! Write, write, write!! :)

Children's Shoes!
Hi, guys! We're collecting children's shoes to give to our friend and customer who goes out in our rural communities with the Food Bank. Some of the little ones need shoes out there! So, look to see what you have and bring them in before the end of next week so we can deliver them to the right folks. :)
