News from Hi Point Coffee and Cafe 1/6/11

Time for New Years Resolutions!

What are your resolutions this year? My list started simple and quickly turned long, overwhelming list. However, there is a theme to my list, which is to notice and savor the joys my life more, take more time for family and friends and take more time for the things I love to do. Yeah for New Years resolutions! I love fun resolutions.

I hope you choose resolutions which are just as much fun to keep. Here's some suggestions. Drink more coffee, support local businesses, only eat food that you love or maybe just smile more. And we stand ready to help you achieve that mighty list! Whatever your goals and dreams may be for the next year, I wish for you only the best and happy New Year!

Cheers!
Sarah

Open Mic Night back to Friday

New Book Club Book
The new book is called The Coffee Trader by David Liss. It's a thriller set in mid 17th century Amsterdam, in the wake of the Inquisition. The hero of the book becomes involved in intrigue and the introduction of coffee to the European continent. Historical fiction of the most fun variety! We'll be meeting January 30th, 2pm to discuss!

Drive for warm stuff!
The second load of warm stuff was take to Record street by a wonderful customer, so our boxes are empty and ready for a refill. It's a super cold week, so today would be a great time to bring in your extra winter things for Reno's homeless. Thank you!
