The Hi Points from Hi Point Coffee 10/7/10

Bring on the rain! Isn't it exciting to have moisture in the air? Or perhaps it's just this x-Seattlite that finds this so thrilling. :) This wonderful weather got me thinking about crock-pots, slow savory meals and of course beer. The Germans got Oktoberfest just right, I think. So, we're doing an Oktoberfest inspired brunch this Sunday and, if I get my act together, some bratwurst and onions for Friday and Saturday, as well. Check out facebook for specials for Friday and Saturday, if you're curious. Other than that, life is trucking along here. Hope all is well in your world and hope to see you soon!

All the best!
Sarah

PS Music this weekend!! Make sure to check that one out!

Book Club Selection
The new book for this month
follows the
theme of food and Halloween. Go find a copy of Gil's All Fright Diner. Here's a little blurb from a review...
"
The story is simple: two kinda friends - one a vampire, one a werewolf - agree to help the owner of an all-night diner with her zombie problem. Yea, that sounds simple, but somehow Martinez has crammed more imagination, originality, action, smiles and endearing characters in 272 pages than most writers would in 10 books or their whole career. I am truly impressed."
Sounds good, no?? Go get a copy, read it up and come join us later this month to discuss and laugh together!
