Hello, all!
Tell me we don't live in one of the most wondrous places in this world! Our weather is the most spectacular that Fall can offer and it is inspiring, gastronomically speaking, of course. Our brunch is going to be one of my favorites, I can tell already. Also, this Saturday we're hosting one of my favorite Reno musicians, Michelle Pappas. It's hard to come up with a better line up for a great weekend. Hope to see your shining faces real soon and in the mean time, soak up this sun!
Yours most truly,
Sarah
PS. Check out our book club selection for next month!

You must come see Michelle! I think she just a lovely, yet melancholy voice and distinctive songwriting. It is a real treat to have Michelle play at Hi Point. Come see her from 1:30 to 3:30 Saturday!
Check out some of her music at her myspace page here...

New Book Club Selection
New book club book!!
"UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go On the Record" by Leslie Kean
While you may find the UFO of dubious interest, I've already read this one, thanks to my crazy Dad. Thanks, Dad! Anyway, it's UFO stories mainly told by the generals, pilots and officials who have dealt first hand with UFOs, including the story of a fighter pilot in a dog fight with a UFO. Best story of the book. Call me crazy (and I know some of you do already, it's ok), but I found this book to be fascinating. Impressively, this book has positive reviews from Michio Kaku (for the fellow amateur physics geeks out there) and multiple PhD Ivy-league scientists. It's written for folks who do not believe in UFOs, such as me. After reading the book, I can honestly say, I'm a reluctant believer that something unexplained is happening (or at minimum, has happened) and am fascinated by the possibilities. It's a worth a read, even if you don't want to admit to actually reading a UFO book. You can always tell people you're simply doing an anthropological study. ;) Whatever your motivation, read it and come discuss! The date is TBD.
