News from Hi Point 4/29

As I'm writing this note today, the snow is falling and it's almost May! But, that's what keeps NV interesting and endearing, at least to me. We all know the heat is on the way, so I am enjoying a little more sweater weather before the swelter weather begins to cook us all! :) Hope this note finds you all well and looking forward to another weekend!

Thanks, y'all!

Hi Point Coffee and Cafe

Open Mic
This Friday!! Starting at 6pm and going to 8pm. Signs ups are at 5:30pm and there's a free small coffee for everyone attending our first Friday open mic! So come and bring your friends!

Sunday Brunch
This week we're pretending we're having springtime in Paris, though as I write this, I doubt Paris snowy. All the more reason for imagination!

Cost per person is $14 or get just the entree for $9

Starter
Apple turnovers with fresh granny smith apple filling

Brunch
Croque madame - one of the tastiest foods on the planet, in my little opinion. It's a croque monsieur sandwich with proscuitto ham, gruyere cheese, bechamel sauce baked to perfection, topped with a poached egg
Warm lentil salad (also one of the tastiest foods on the planet!)
Spring greens in a light vinaigrette
Dessert
Homemade apricot and almond tart

Acoustic Grind

This week Hi Point is presenting Dave Fritz with Cap on percussion. Check Dave out at these sites. Dave's one of my favorites to come play Hi Point so far, so I'm really excited to have him back!
Come listen to great music this Saturday at Hi Point, from 1:30-3:30pm.
BookCrossing!

The bookcrossing club, who keep track of Hi Point's book exchange, are gathering to share books, play word games and talk about bookcrossing. Come join the fun!
